RIBA PART 1 FINAL YEAR PROJECT

Here are selected pages from my final-year architecture project, shaped by user research and community insights. The proposal responds to sustainability challenges specific to Canterbury, with a focus on three key pillars: Growing, Knowing, and Gathering.

Growing
This pillar supports collaborative creativity through dedicated community spaces. Residents are encouraged to co-create art and fashion using recycled materials, fostering both sustainability and local expression.

Knowing
Educational spaces are integrated throughout the site to raise awareness about the climate crisis. These areas are designed to facilitate learning and conversation around sustainable practices and ecological responsibility.

Gathering
The spatial layout of the site prioritizes connection. Public pathways, open areas, and multifunctional gathering points create opportunities for community interaction, cultural events, and everyday engagement.
